Council of Nations
The Council of Nations was established shortly after the Treaty of Arvahill, establishing a forum for representatives of the Five Nations to air any grievances or disputes, and discuss any common concerns. The Council meets twice a year by tradition at The Gathering, and special sessions can be called in times of great need – such as during the events of the Second Gate War.
Each Nation is allowed one representative, which is generally a senior chief of the Free Tribes, a member of the Druid Council, a member of the Merchant Council of Ergoth, and a member of the royal families of Talanthas and Khul. In recent years, high ranking members of the Mage Guild, Miner’s Guild, and churches of the Major Elders have been allowed a representative to speak, but not to have a vote in decisions.
